Gana is a 2025 Indian Kannada-language science fiction thriller film written and directed by Hari Prasad Jakka. It stars Prajwal Devaraj, Vedhika Kumar, and Yasha Shivakumar in lead roles. The film is a remake of the 2021 Telugu movie Play Back, also directed by Jakka. It was released theatrically on January 31, 2025, and became available for streaming on Sun NXT from March 7, 2025
🎬 Plot Summary
The story begins with investigative journalist Gana (Prajwal Devaraj) moving into an old house in Indira Colony, Bengaluru. There, he discovers a vintage landline telephone that mysteriously connects him to Sujatha (Vedhika Kumar), a schoolteacher living in 1993. As they communicate across time, they uncover a decades-old murder mystery. Gana learns that Sujatha is his mother, and together, they work to solve the crime that has haunted their family.
